Design System Update

SYNLAB approached Velvet with the need to upgrade their customer facing website solutions in Estonia, one of the group’s operating markets.

We took on a huge project, starting from service design that included interviews and service safaris, that lead to important findings about how different digital and physical experiences are, and how important it is to keep returning client experience smooth and helpful.

My role in SYNLAB project was to design their results platform. This is where clients go to view their test results, see their test results history and metrics and get an overview of their ordered or upcoming tests.

These solutions and the Design System that were created during this project will be used in SYNLAB digital channels all over Europe.

The goal was to make test results instantly understandable by using color coding. Clients can immediately see whether their results are within the normal range, or if they are positive/negative, right when they open the results view.

A key feature was organizing results not only by test or test panel, but also by specific indicators. This helps clients who frequently track the same indicator quickly find their results and review their history over time.

In the result detail view, clients now have access to personalized recommendations (e.g., dietary or lifestyle advice), detailed lab reports, background information about the tests and indicators, and the option to book a doctor consultation for further explanation.
